The International Conference: "Advancing Health: The Synergy of Lifestyle, Science, and Cutting-Edge Technologies"
The international conference “Advancing Health: The Synergy of Lifestyle, Science, and Cutting-Edge Technologies,” led by Prof. Albert Pinhasov, Rector of Ariel University and Head of the Institute for Personalized and Translational Medicine (IPTM), took place in September 2025 at Druskininkai, Lithuania. The event focused on integrating lifestyle modifications with advanced technologies and scientific research to improve health outcomes.
The conference brought together senior and early-career researchers, healthcare professionals, and policymakers from multiple countries. Over several days, participants exchanged knowledge, presented innovative research, and explored the integration of lifestyle, science, artificial intelligence in medicine, and advanced technologies for the benefit of public health.
The Chess Club at Ariel University brings together students who share a passion for chess — from beginners discovering the game to experienced competitive players. The club was established to create an intellectual, social, and competitive environment where students can learn, play, and grow through one of the world’s most strategic and challenging games.
Throughout the academic year, the club hosts regular meetings, friendly matches, workshops, internal tournaments, and national competitions in collaboration with chess players and enthusiasts from across Israel. The club also takes part in online activities and intercollegiate competitions, strengthening connections between students and the broader chess community.
Beyond the game itself, the Chess Club promotes strategic thinking, concentration, patience, creativity, and teamwork. It serves as a welcoming community space that connects students from diverse backgrounds through a shared interest in chess and intellectual challenge.
The club has also been recognized within the Israeli chess community and has hosted official tournaments and memorial competitions dedicated to students and alumni of the university.
