One of the greatest challenges facing the modern clinician is the choice of a treatment plan. It is becoming acutely obvious that there is a pressing need to match the treatment plan to the unique patient.
The Institute’s Department of Translational Oncology is working to develop novel biological models to enable personalized tumor molecular diagnoses and sub-classification of cancer types and treatment selection, including:
- Genomic analysis
- Transcriptomic analysis
- Proteomic techniques
- 3D cell culture
Our patient-centered approach aims to cast a wide net and collect as much information as possible in order to give a deep and broad picture of the individual, which will generate actual treatment recommendations.
